Overview: A DSW Supervisor is responsible for overseeing Direct Service Workers.
Reports To: Director
Responsibilities:
- Provide Person Specific Training to DSW’s.
- Schedule DSW’s, to ensure that they are not working more than 16 hours per day between various agencies.
- Observe DSW’s in the home while providing a service to recipients.
- Counsel with DSW’s to provide skills to enhance areas of weaknesses.
- Evaluate DSW’s within 30-45 days of hire and annually thereafter.
- Maintain personnel records, update as needed for current Driver License, Vehicle Insurance, Monthly Checks on OIG and LA State Adverse Actions and Exclusions, Criminal Background and Sex Offenders
- Ensure the DSW is appropriately dressed and acts in a professional manner.
- Enforce policies and procedures of People First Outreach and guidelines of Louisiana Department of Hospitals Medicaid Waiver Program.
- Report New Hires to the LA Workforce Commission
- Report allegations of suspected abuse and neglect.
